Stories

I was teaching class tonight, and running through a whole tilt of stories including my grama being turned out of her home when she was three and a murderer turning in a confession as a paper to a teacher in Illinois/Indiana, and one of my students said, “You have a lot of stories.”

I’m not sure if she thought that was good or not. I think maybe she said “good stories” or maybe I just inferred it.

I’m 44 years old. I read a lot. I’ve lived a lot. I listen to what folks say. And there’s some interesting stuff out there. It makes for good stories. And I try to incorporate stories to make it clear what I want in class or why I think the assignments we have are useful.

These are all true stories, by the by.
