What’s up with that?

Or as my husband would say, Why?

I asked a fellow teacher at CC2 to show me how to work the projections in my room. (I forgot they were touch screen and I didn’t know which order to touch what.)

I introduced myself afterwards telling him thank you and saying, “I’m Suzi D.”

He answered back, “Good to meet you, Suzi. I’m Dr. Boisterous.”

I’ve noticed this naming convention at CC2. Everyone who is a PhD introduces themselves as “Dr. X.” What is the point of that? Is there some food chain I don’t know about that takes the PhD’s last?

I’ve taught at four other colleges and no one else does that.
