Developed Discussion of Argument

I don’t spend a whole lot of time introducing argument in my classroom. I give the students the highlights, an example or two of the things I am discussing (claim, evidence, and the appeals, Rogerian argument).

I think that UNC’s handouts might be good for the students to look at. This is the intro on argument, but there are also others on “Making a Claim” or “Evidence” or “Fallacies.”
