Interesting Read

I love history, though I am not a historian, and the Guardian’s article on a major Western Civ historian, from Scotland, who teaches at Harvard, who looks like he could model for GQ is entertaining.

Arts & Letters Daily caught my attention with this comment:

Fed up with being called an “imperialist scumbag,” Niall Ferguson offers this warning: “Never underestimate the irate Professor Ferguson.”

Then when I went to read the thing, the first statement, in 24-point (or more) type says,

Niall Ferguson: ‘The left love being provoked by me … they think I’m a reactionary imperialist scumbag’
