Writers and scholars are invited to submit works that explore the lyrics, lore and literature of the Lone Star State; in other words, what makes Texas Texas. We welcome original Texas-related creative lyrics, lore and literature as well as critical analyses of each, including language, drama, film, popular culture, music, dance, visual arts, and photography.

Poetry, fiction or creative non-fiction must be complete when submitted. Submissions will be judged by the TCEA Board through a blind review process.
