The best thing about spring break was that I was able to see my nieces and nephew. Since we moved so that I could teach at this university, I have not been able to see them anywhere near as much. The oldest will be 14 at the end of this month and the youngest will be 9 less than a week later. They grow up so quickly at that age and I am not near enough to spend time with them every month.
The second best thing about spring break was that I was able to see my brother and both my sisters. We girls were going to be in town at the same time and my father called my brother and asked him to come, too, in case, he said, it was the last time that could happen. My brother makes an effort to keep in touch with us, but I could easily lose contact with at least one sister, so Dad getting us together is a good thing.
The third best thing about spring break was that I got to eat at a favorite restaurant–twice! It was as good as I remembered and the second time, at least, the service was wonderful and they talked to my father and made him feel like a valued customer.
